Track user behaviour events and store this in your own data warehouse. Offers a full BI interface for the wider teams that also includes features for A/B testing, session recording and feature flags.

2. Cloud: where PostHog takes care of hosting.

Pricing

Open-source is free, cloud starts free up to 1M events per month. Above that, there are stacked pricing tiers, for example 2M monthly events is priced at €5k per year. Session recoding as add-on.

Uses an MIT license.

Location of data

Open-source at your own cloud provider. The cloud version allows you to choose between US and Europe hosting on AWS in Frankfurt.

Important notes

Cloud version has an internal app to sync event data to your own data warehouse.
