What it can do

Collect user behavioural data from your website & app. Send this data to many different tools, or into your warehouse. Track user identity across devices and mask PII data.

Product versions

1. Cloud: Rudderstack takes care of hosting, in beta.

2. Open-source: host it all yourself. Similar core features to Cloud.

Pricing

Cloud starts free up to 1M events per month, then a first tier of €5,500 per year. Open-source is free.

Open-source license

Has an combined license (AGPL & MIT). For internal use this is fine, as long as you don't package Rudderstacks core server in an own SaaS product. In that case you'd need to open-source that under the same license as well.

Location of data

By default does not store your event data and allows you to choose an own cloud of choice, but processing of the data takes place in the US.

Important notes

Offers transformations in Javascript and Python on event payloads, no dbt integration.
